Mrs. Laura Maldonado-Ortiz-Odem High School Counselor

 The Odem High School Counseling Department strives to aid students and parents in completing the requirements to acquire a high school diploma and support them in preparing for their future after high school.

Biography/Education

I am from Corpus Christi. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and have two children. I earned a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies in English Languare Arts from Texas A&M Kingville. After years of teaching various grade levels of English, which was my absolute dream job and I dearly miss, I pursued my education and earned a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University. 

As the Odem High School Counselor, I look forward to working with students, parents,  teachers and the community to ensure the success of our students at Odem High School.
